     Sarah Unknown was born circa 1691. She married William Jameson. Sarah Unknown died after 20 December 1752.

     Anna LaRue was born in 1794. She married William Tennent Gordon, son of William Gordon, circa 1815. Anna LaRue married Peter McMillan. Anna LaRue died in Crawford Co., Illinois.

     Nancy Baker Harford was born on 15 October 1788.¹ She married John Quaintance, son of William Quaintance and Grace Glasscock, on 28 July 1804 in Fauquier Co., Virginia.¹ Nancy Baker Harford died on 10 June 1865 at age 76.¹

     Henry Harford Quaintance was born on 30 October 1808.¹ He was the son of John Quaintance and Nancy Baker Harford.² Henry Harford Quaintance married Sarah Frances Snyder on 9 May 1838 in Madison Co., Virginia.¹ Henry Harford Quaintance died on 8 June 1884 at age 75.¹

     Winifred Baker Quaintance was born on 6 March 1811.¹ She was the daughter of John Quaintance and Nancy Baker Harford.² Winifred Baker Quaintance married William Lilliard. She moved to Missouri after her marriage, and there is no further record of her.¹

     Eliza Quaintance was born on 17 September 1813.¹ She was the daughter of John Quaintance and Nancy Baker Harford.² Eliza Quaintance married Joseph Story on 7 March 1833 in Culpeper, Culpeper Co., Virginia.¹

     Joseph Story married Eliza Quaintance, daughter of John Quaintance and Nancy Baker Harford, on 7 March 1833 in Culpeper, Culpeper Co., Virginia.¹

     William Lilliard married Winifred Baker Quaintance, daughter of John Quaintance and Nancy Baker Harford.

     Sarah Frances Snyder was born on 19 June 1819.¹ She married Henry Harford Quaintance, son of John Quaintance and Nancy Baker Harford, on 9 May 1838 in Madison Co., Virginia.¹ Sarah Frances Snyder died in September 1895 at age 76.¹

     Melinda Quaintance was born on 13 December 1818 in Rappahannock Co., Virginia.^1,3 She was the daughter of John Quaintance and Nancy Baker Harford.² Melinda Quaintance married Staunton Aylor, son of Lewis Aylor and Nancy Creel, on 20 March 1838.^1,3 Melinda Quaintance died on 18 December 1898 in Joplin, Missouri, at age 80.³ She was buried on 19 December 1898 in Webb City Cemetery, Webb City, Jasper Co., Missouri.³

     Staunton Aylor was born between 1815 and 1817 in Madison Co., Virginia.² He was the son of Lewis Aylor and Nancy Creel.² Staunton Aylor married Melinda Quaintance, daughter of John Quaintance and Nancy Baker Harford, on 20 March 1838.^1,2 Staunton Aylor died on 18 December 1892 in Carterville, Oklahoma.² He was buried in Webb City Cemetery, Webb City, Jasper Co., Missouri.²

     Sarah A. Quaintance was born on 8 July 1821.¹ She was the daughter of John Quaintance and Nancy Baker Harford.² Sarah A. Quaintance died in 1891.¹

     Joseph Wheeler Quaintance was born on 22 July 1824.¹ He was the son of John Quaintance and Nancy Baker Harford.²

     Aylette William Quaintance was born on 25 May 1828.¹ He was the son of John Quaintance and Nancy Baker Harford.² Aylette William Quaintance died on 13 March 1853 at age 24.¹

     Quiteria A. Quaintance was born on 3 February 1835.¹ She was the daughter of John Quaintance and Nancy Baker Harford.² Quiteria A. Quaintance died on 22 February 1848 at age 13.¹

     Elizabeth Winifred Quaintance was born on 23 March 1839.¹ She was the daughter of Henry Harford Quaintance and Sarah Frances Snyder.² Elizabeth Winifred Quaintance married Robert Fletcher in Rappahannock Co., Virginia.¹ Elizabeth Winifred Quaintance died in 1860.¹

     Robert Fletcher married Elizabeth Winifred Quaintance, daughter of Henry Harford Quaintance and Sarah Frances Snyder, in Rappahannock Co., Virginia.¹

      Joseph William Quaintance was also known as W. H. Quaintance This is the name that is on the tombstone in Mercersburg, and a newspaper article quoted in the source is signed "Mrs. W. H. Quaintance". However, other letters exchanged with people in Mercersburg indicate his name as "Joseph".¹ He was born on 29 August 1840 in Rappahannock Co., Virginia.¹ He was the son of Henry Harford Quaintance and Sarah Frances Snyder.² Joseph William Quaintance was in military service in the Civil War, on the Confederate side between 1861 and 1863. He was probably in Stonewall Jackson's "Stonewall Brigade" along with his brothers.¹ He died on 28 August 1863 in Mercersburg, Pennsylvania, at age 22.¹ He died of wounds received at Gettysburg. He was buried in cemetery at Mercersburg along with two other Confederates. The cemetery marker shows "W. H. Quaintance", but copies of letters pertaining to his death (see source) clearly show him as Joseph. It is possible that his name, J.W. Quaintance, was confused with his father's, H. H. Quaintance.¹

     John Robert Quaintance was born on 9 November 1842 in Rappahannock Co., Virginia.¹ He was the son of Henry Harford Quaintance and Sarah Frances Snyder.² John Robert Quaintance was in military service in the Civil War, on the Confederate side between 1861 and 1865. He was a sergeant with Stonewall Jackson's army.¹ He died before 1865 in Manassas, Virginia.¹ He died of typhoid while serving in the army.¹

     Homassell Victoria Quaintance was born on 21 February 1844.¹ She was the daughter of Henry Harford Quaintance and Sarah Frances Snyder.² Homassell Victoria Quaintance married Theodore Lindsay Thurman on 3 April 1866.¹ Homassell Victoria Quaintance died on 8 August 1889 at age 45.¹

     Theodore Lindsay Thurman married Homassell Victoria Quaintance, daughter of Henry Harford Quaintance and Sarah Frances Snyder, on 3 April 1866.¹

     Henry Taylor Quaintance was born on 24 April 1846.¹ He was the son of Henry Harford Quaintance and Sarah Frances Snyder.² Henry Taylor Quaintance was in military service in the Civil War, on the Confederate side between 1861 and 1865. He was the only one of three brothers to survive the war.¹ He married Mary Frances Rivercomb on 24 December 1867 in Madison Co., Virginia.¹

     Mary Frances Rivercomb married Henry Taylor Quaintance, son of Henry Harford Quaintance and Sarah Frances Snyder, on 24 December 1867 in Madison Co., Virginia.¹

     Sarah Frances Quaintance was born on 20 April 1849 in Rappahannock Co., Virginia.¹ She was the daughter of Henry Harford Quaintance and Sarah Frances Snyder.² Sarah Frances Quaintance married George Washington Tidler on 28 May 1868.¹ Sarah Frances Quaintance died on 4 December 1924 at age 75.¹
