He was the son of Peter Gordon and Elizabeth Rhea.¹ Jonathan Rhea Gordon married Margaret Cole on 5 December 1748 in Monmouth County, New Jersey. Jonathan Rhea Gordon died on 1 August 1800 in Matchaponix, Monmouth County, New Jersey.
