Anderson was in military service in Captain William H Moore's Company C of the forces of the Republic of Texas in the Comanche War on 24 October 1839 in Opossum Creek, Williamson County, Texas. On this particular date his company was involved along with Captain Thomas Howard's Company B in a skirmish with a group of Comanches.3 He was in military service enlisted as protection for the town of Austin on 11 March 1842 in Austin, Travis County, Texas.4

John Stout Parke
     John Stout Parke was born in 1794.1,2 He was the son of John Parke and Charity Stout.1 John Stout Parke was a blacksmith circa 1811.1 He died on 2 December 1862.2 He was buried in Brady Hill Cemetery, Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan.2
