     Lydia A. Gordon was born on 8 December 1824 in Morgan County, Ohio. She was the daughter of William Tennent Gordon and Anna LaRue. Lydia A. Gordon married Samuel Bowman on 19 December 1840. Lydia A. Gordon died on 7 January 1892 in Oblong, Crawford County, Illinois, at age 67.1
