John Jameson Armstrong

     John Jameson Armstrong was born on 5 January 1779 in Augusta County, Virginia. He was the son of Robert Armstrong and Jane Jameson. John Jameson Armstrong married Elizabeth Evans on 26 March 1800 in Fleming County, Kentucky. John Jameson Armstrong married Mary (?) after 13 June 1833.1 John Jameson Armstrong died on 19 March 1855 in Fleming County at age 76. He was buried after 19 March 1855 in Brick Union Cemetery, Fleming County, Kentucky.1

He married Mason Potter Temple, daughter of Dempsey P. Temple and Elizabeth (?), between 1815 and 1818 in Bedford County, Tennessee. Dr. James Loudon Armstrong died on 5 April 1868 in Bedford County, Tennessee, at age 86.

b. 15 June 1795, d. 20 May 1881
     Ayres LeForgee was born on 15 June 1795 in Upper Blue Licks, Bourbon County, Kentucky.1 He was the son of Abram LeForgee and Johannah Ayres. Ayres LeForgee was in military service as a member of George Matthews company, Kentucky Mounted Volunteers, in the War of 1812 in 1812 in Fleming County, Kentucky. He was present at the "Battle of the Thames" near Chatham, Ont., Canada, where the British were defeated and the Indian leader Tecumseh was killed.2 He married Dorinda Cassidy on 26 May 1819 in Fleming County.1 Ayres LeForgee died on 20 May 1881 in Fleming County at age 85.1
